7. They don't care about progress, it's about the emotional satisfaction of being anti-establishment. Identity.

Who wins the presidency isn't important, one the main leaders says. Progress that is incremental and done through compromise, which is how government works, is a sin It's all about purity of the movement/revolution all or nothing. Classic liberal Democratic goals are repeated over and over as issues Democrats ignore and think are radical, the establishment that is the true enemy.
