He shouldn't have been sent to El Salvador, full stop - there was a court order against it, and Trump's team violated that court order.
I'm not arguing that point at all.

But what due process is left to him regarding deportation is about where they will send him. They can't send him to El Salvador, and he, for obvious reasons, doesn't want to go to Uganda. Now, if he can show (and it should be easy to do so) that he'll be in danger in Uganda, then the court isn't going to let them send him there.

But Costa Rica has already said they would take him, and he would have refugee status there, so my guess is that's where he'll end up.

My point is that them shipping him illegally to El Salvador doesn't void his deportation order.
