(331 posts)no one and nowhere is safe from these horrible guns, so it is so frightening to send her off to school. One of my grandsons lives with us. He is starting his junior year next week. I just dropped him off at school a little bit ago to practice soccer. Last year his high school had so many lockdowns, I lost track. Last spring some of the soccer players received threats via Instagram or some social network. My grandson showed us the comments, and we contacted the police. He forwarded on the threat to the policeman. They worked on it through the night along with the FBI, and the student was arrested the next day. I am thankful that my grandson feels that it is okay to tell an adult about these threats and not assume that it is just a hoax. I know that his high school is doing all they can to keep the students safe, but it will never be safe with all those weapons out there.
