... The Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics issued a statement on Wednesday saying every family should have access to immunizations to keep their community healthy.

“For many kids, the best part of school is being with friends, sharing space, playing on the playground and learning together,” the statement read. “Close contact makes it easy for contagious diseases to spread quickly. That’s why many schools require routine child immunizations” ...

The Florida Education Association shares the sentiment.

In a statement released Wednesday, the FEA said educators’ first responsibility is to keep students safe and provide the best environment to support and educate them ...
