21. Look to see when something was created. Sadly, so much AI slop has flooded the internet in the

last few years that you often can't trust what's been created since late 2022.

Look to see if the video creator or artist or writer has any track record of creating anything worthwhile going back more than a few years. Maybe their YouTube channel is new but they have their own work elsewhere online.

I've advised DUers to focus on the YouTube channels from artists, journalists and pundits we're already familiar with and know we can trust. There's way more content than we can follow from them, without needing AI slop from newcomers. There's way too much AI slop getting posted on DU these days. And since people have limited time, the time wasted on AI slop takes time away from people providing valuable information and art.
