18. They don't want an air base in Idaho and they aren't getting one

They contracted to buy F-15s from us. That contract included ground equipment and training for their pilots and ground crews. It also included construction of facilities like housing, dining halls, hangers, briefing rooms, etc. Everything you would need to support a small detachment of aircraft for the purpose of training.

All of that is slated to happen at Mountain Home AFB in ID. We already fly USAF F-15s there so it has all the major infrastructure to support them, this is just a fairly minor expansion of that. Singapore is doing the same thing at Mountain Home, they also bought F-15s from us.

Am I happy about that? No. Qatar has worked to help US interests at times and worked against us other times. Basically the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Not what I would consider a reliable ally.
