The Dow was at 44500 when the Dolt took office, he then crashed it to the April low point you chose.
It is now at 45400. That is a 900 point gain since the festering boil took office. Or about 2% in 10 months.
And the bottom is a long way down.

I basicly agree with your post but add that 2.7 pct is dramatic (though not a crash). And tRump's tantrum sparked it.
