Most people appear to have a dark side that is held in check by society.

But decades of propaganda and immorality on the part of our leaders
has led to current high rates of narcissism and psychopathic behavior.

I have read the same is true in Russia.
Everyone does whatever they can to get ahead and no one thinks ill of it.
The crimes are just part of life.
Russia is led by a brutal psychopath and the people follow suit.
