10. Are we turning to the Free Beacon as a source now?

From what I’ve read, I would not want Platner as my Democratic Party rep running for US Senate as there seems to be too much baggage at the least. His inexperience plus evidence that he is possibly a racist, homophobe, and anti-Semite would be enough to dissuade me and my primary vote. I’m not sure what would drive me to the Beacon, but it sure wouldn’t be to find high school dirt on my disfavored candidate. Private school? Deep state alumni? High School attempt at a nuanced op-ed about terrorism? Every Beacon article headline gives me pause. “One Year After Trump Worked the Fryer at McDonald's, There's Still No Evidence Kamala Ever Did” or worse, but more impactful, “Texas Health System Hit With Civil Rights Complaint Over Minority Contracting in Wake of Free Beacon Report”. Actually, pretty much no Beacon headline would fly here, unless it’s about Platner, Mamdani, or Jay Jones. I’m certainly not saying we should disagree with the Right on all issues, but the enemy of our enemy here is not our friend. Driving people to right wing websites without warning may increase the effectiveness of their MAGA propaganda.
