27. I wish I liked Costco more...

Tried a free membership promoted at work a few years ago and was underwhelmed… It was creepy wandering the aisles full of people with their giant trolleys overflowing with monster-sized stuff, with multiple 24-packs of soda and water hanging on the sides.

Why is everything a giant container? Maybe $10 is a good price, but I don’t *need* so much stuff that I’d have to buy a shed for the overflow… Why not just have regular-sized stuff at good prices, too?

And the produce? Almost nothing was organic, and the quality was just not there.

I really wanted to love it, but given the offerings, it just wasn’t worth driving miles through seasonal Sarasota traffic to spend quadruple on groceries when Trader Joe’s was half the distance.

Maybe it would feel more worth the effort if we weren’t down to a family of two. Seems like they might want to consider that demographics are changing in that regard.
