they only factor in the "price", NO MENTION OF 1/3 TO 1/2 LESS CONTENTS.......

SHRINKFLATION......Compounds the TRUE price RADICALLY..........and it is still going on, big time......

The so called Consumer Price Index was doctored by Reagan to NOT include many things that WERE included, and add other things that aren't even worth measuring......THAT is how Republicans deal with statistics and un-tidy figures.......
