they got a rock solid promise that maybe, possibly the Cons might consider thinking about developing a plan to potentially evaluate the timeline for deciding whether to hold a vote, if Trump lets them. You can take that to the bank!!!! (Heavy sarcasm, of course). I am forced to conclude that these folks (and Shaheen says Schumer knew exactly where this was going all along, even though he voted no on the vote) are either the biggest naive idiots or simply more interested in pleasing their corporate masters then serving the public. Take your pick. Either way, we're screwed.
