I'm new here and made enough posts that I can start a discussion. [View all]
I follow climate issues primarily and hope to share them here with you. I will be honest and say that I do not believe that we will be able to survive the crisis. There are plenty who disagree with me, and that is perfectly fine; we all need to deal with catastrophic news in our own way, whether it is climate breakdown or Donald Trump robbing us of another four years of geologic time that we need desperately to prevent the worst impacts that are bearing down on us.
I have seen news that all the top scientists in this field and others will be fired. One already has Zack Labe, a sea ice expert previously employed by NASA, on the climate front.
I tend not to opine on the topic I write about, just the facts that scientists reveal in studies and social media posts, as most media does not cover the subject at all, and I make the mistake of assuming folks know what I talk about. It is a complicated science, and I am not a scientist, but that has the benefit of making the topic less technical and easier to understand for readers. Have you ever read a scientific journal? Whoa!
So, thank you again for the opportunity to shatter the secrecy of what is occurring to the biosphere due to greenhouse gas emissions. It is worse than what we are being told.
Best,
William
