7. Welcome, glad to see someone is paying attention to Climate Change.

It is obvious that we will ignore it until probably too late to do anything about it. I live in a rural area of Texas and over the last 37 years that I have lived here the changes are dramatic.

In '87, the average days over 100° were 27, now it is not uncommon for us to top 90. The dramatic loss of birds in very noticeable, and trees are dying from drought/freeze at unprecedented rates. The air is not clean even in the country and water is getting scarcer and scarcer.

The real shame of it all is we have the ability to do something about it - but not the political will. Instead, we focus on meaningless things like culture and class issues. Our elected representatives seem to be afraid to speak out about anything meaningful these days.
