9. Most food banks will not take open food related items. I know the one I volunteered at didn't take open items.

If it's just flour, sugar, normal pantry stuff, and you live in a wooded or grassy area or have a garden, just dump it into the soil. The rain will take care of it.

Otherwise, just trash it.
