Just finished season 2 of Netflix's The Sandman (major spoilers) [View all]

YMMV, but it's terrible. Utterly terrible. Unbelievably terrible. So much worse than I thought it could be, and then even worse than that.

Somehow extremely rushed and hopelessly plodding at the same time, with pivotal moments of character re-worked to their great detriment, and a grotesque romantic subplot shoehorned into it, along with mommy/daddy issues that should've been left on the cutting room floor.

We don't even need to get into Gaiman's shitty baggage; he's entirely absent from the production. But I can't imagine who the target audience is. Fans of the comic will find that the show falls far, far short, and people who've never read the comic will be dragged through the mire with no payoff.
