Mixed-reality theme park opens on Seattle's Ship Canal [View all]

A new type of entertainment has arrived in Seattle. DreamPark, a mixed-reality theme park, has opened to the public in a 25,000-square-foot space in Queen Anne's West Canal Yards.

The park, located at 1100 W. Ewing St. on the Lake Washington Ship Canal, is the first of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, according to the company.

Co-founded by Brent Bushnell, Aidan Wolf and Kevin Habich, the park aims to create an immersive entertainment experience using mixed-reality technology to overlay digital worlds onto physical environments. The experience is accessible through Meta Quest headsets and mobile devices.

Bushnell is a Seattle-based entrepreneur and son of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese founder Nolan Bushnell.
