I accompanied my wife through her last months to hospitals, rehabs then hospice. Feeling close to the God of Judgment is one thing but I noticed all the presence and help on the sides of circumstance, never in that proud center of my self awareness or direct consciousness. Especially in the awesome caregivers every step of the way to the volunteers at the last House. Little things more than luck or planning. Protecting. Just there as I mourn everyday. I hope to remain in those Hands.
